Handicap
A head start or deficit given to one side so both have a similar chance. You win if your side covers it.
Also called Spread, European handicap
Example Team −1 wins 2–0: your bet wins. It wins 1–0: with a three-way handicap the draw on the handicap wins instead.

- A European handicap keeps the draw as a third outcome; an Asian handicap removes it.
