How we score

Every bookmaker gets a Trust Score from 0 to 10. We work it out from facts we check on its own site and in its regulator’s public register, with the same rules for every bookmaker. Tap the choices below to see how each fact moves it.

  • Facts, not opinions
  • Same rules for all
  • Never for sale

What we check

Licence ×2 9.0

Who regulates it. The strongest one counts.

A strict regulator can fine or close a bookmaker that doesn’t pay out; a light one rarely does. Where a bookmaker runs a site for your country, that site’s licence is the one that counts.

Payout speed ×2 8.0

Its fastest way to cash out.

How quickly its quickest withdrawal method pays you, as the bookmaker states it. A bank transfer that takes days counts for less than an instant e-wallet.

Payment choice 7.0

Kinds of payment, not brands.

Cards, e-wallets, bank, local methods and crypto. Ten e-wallets are still one kind: what matters is that you can pay and get paid your way.

Bonus terms 8.0

Wagering on the welcome offer. No offer? Not counted.

How many times you must bet the bonus before you can withdraw it. When the deposit counts too, we count the wagering double. Having no welcome offer is not a fault.

Betting features 5.7

The tools bettors use most.

Each one counts the same. The more of them a bookmaker has, the higher the mark.

Safer gambling 6.0

The legal basics. All of them is a pass, not top marks.

Licensed bookmakers have to offer these, so having them is expected, not a plus. Missing any of them pulls the score down.

Editors’ view 30% –

Our own test. Counts 30%, up or down.

When our editors have tried a bookmaker themselves, their score makes up 30% of the Trust Score. If they rate it lower than the facts, the score goes down; higher, it goes up. Every review shows it.

01The rules

  • Missing facts count lowUntil we’ve checked something, it counts as 2 out of 10. A bookmaker can’t look better by hiding things.
  • Too few facts, no scoreWith fewer than 4 checks done, a bookmaker shows a dash instead of a score. We don’t guess.
  • Scored for your countryWhere a bookmaker runs its own site for your country, we score that site: the licence it holds there and the payments it takes there.
  • Same rules for everyoneBig brand or new site, every bookmaker goes through the same checks. When we change the method, every bookmaker is rescored the same day.
  • Every mark is shownEach review lists every check, its mark and the fact behind it, so you can see exactly why a bookmaker scores what it does.
  • Never for saleNo one can pay for a better score. We have no affiliate deals yet and earn nothing from any link.

03Questions

Why did a score change?

Either a fact changed (a new licence, slower payouts, new bonus terms) or we improved the method. When the method changes, every bookmaker is rescored the same day, with the same rules.

Where do the facts come from?

From the bookmaker’s own site and terms, and from its regulator’s public register. What we can’t confirm there counts low until we can.

Why is a big name scored low?

Usually a light licence, slow payouts, heavy bonus terms, or facts we couldn’t confirm yet. A famous name doesn’t earn points by itself.

Can a bookmaker pay for a better score?

No. If we ever offer paid placements, they will be marked as such and will never touch the score.

What if a bookmaker disagrees with its score?

It can send us proof through the contact page. If a fact is wrong, we fix it and the score follows. The rules stay the same for everyone.

Spot something wrong? We usually fix it within 48 hours.
