Accumulator
One bet that links several picks. Their odds multiply, so the price climbs fast, but every pick has to win or the whole bet loses.

Combined odds 5.67 Returns $56.70
Every pick has to win. If one loses, the whole slip loses.
Example Three picks at 1.80, 2.10 and 1.50 make odds of 5.67: $10 returns $56.70 if all three win.
- Good to know
- A pick that is void (a postponed match, a non-runner) counts as odds of 1.00 and the rest of the bet stands. A double has two picks, a treble three.
- Watch out
- Each pick you add multiplies the bookmaker’s margin too, which is why long accumulators are where bookmakers make the most. Two winners out of three still pay nothing.

Extra winnings a bookmaker adds to an accumulator when every pick wins, usually from a minimum number of picks.

Same game parlay
Several picks from the same match combined into one bet, such as a goalscorer plus the total of goals. The bookmaker prices the combination itself.

Void
A bet that stands as if never placed, usually because the event was cancelled or a player didn’t take part. Your stake comes back.

Each way
Two bets of the same stake in one: a win bet and a place bet. If your pick only places, the place part still pays, at a fraction of the odds.
